City 1070 Forum Rules

Breaking rules results in punishments. There are four types of punishments:

1. Warning - You are given a warning by a forum moderator.
   
2. Temporary Ban - You are banned for a minimum of 24 hours, to a maximum of 30 days.
   
3. Permanent Ban - You are never allowed to view the forums again.
   
4. Global Ban - You are banned from the entire community.
   

The following rules list the most serious violations:

1. No Hacking - This should go without saying, but hacking the forum or its members is not allowed - not to mention, illegal. Guessing another user's password and succeeding counts as hacking. Members who hack will be banned without warning.
   
2. No Discrimination - You may not harass or threaten someone based on their religion, race, ethnicity, nationality, gender identity, sexual orientation, or political beliefs. C1070 is a place where everyone is treated equal, and discrimination will not be tolerated.
   
3. No Bullying - Bullying or harassing other members is not allowed.
   
4. No Flaming - Flaming is extremely harmful to the community, let alone the member(s) being targeted.
   

If you break one of these rules, the following penalties will apply (first time, second time, third time...) with the exception of breaking the rule "No Hacking" which immediately results in a permanent ban:

1. Warning - Depending on how serious the violation is, you may receive a warning first.
   
2. Temporary Ban - People who cause problems after being given a maximum of 7 warnings will be temporarily banned for up to 30 days.
   
3. Permanent ban - At this point, it's obvious that you will never learn your lesson, thus, a permanent ban is necessary to be rid of the problems you cause.
   
4. Global Ban - Let's just say you'll make some friends in a federal prison, Hackerman.
   

The following rules are also important:
No Advertising - You are not allowed to advertise your website or community using C1070's forums. You are not allowed to collect e-mails or usernames from members to harass them with advertisements.
No Illegal Activity - You are not allowed to break the law using our forums. This can get C1070 into legal trouble. This includes posting any kind of pornographic content.
No Double-Posting/Spamming - You may not post more than once in a row on any thread. This uses up the server's resources, and provides the violator with ill-earned post points.
No Topic Bumping - You may not bump your topic, unless it is in the Complaints forum - then, you are able to bump your post once every 48 hours/2 days.
No Posting Personal Information - You may not post personal information, such as your full name or street address. Doing so may allow certain people to steal your identity, or swat you.
No Threatening To Leave The Forums - This counts as spam, as it gets extremely annoying for staff to deal with.

1. Warning - Depending on how serious the violation is, you may receive a warning first.
   
2. Temporary Ban - People who cause problems after being given a maximum of 7 warnings will be temporarily banned for up to 30 days.
   
3. Permanent ban - At this point, it's obvious that you will never learn your lesson, thus, a permanent ban is necessary to be rid of the problems you cause.
   
4. Global Ban - Let's just say you'll make some friends in a federal prison, Hackerman.
   

The following are a set of amendments for those who wish to nitpick or try and find loopholes:

Amendment 1 - There's no excuse for breaking the rules. It doesn't matter if you were mad at the time and weren't thinking straight. It doesn't matter if you were just kidding around. If you break a rule, it does the same damage, regardless of your reason for breaking them, and you will be punished all the same.

Amendment 2 - Staff abuse will not be tolerated. As a staff member, it is your job to help the community, not harm it. You may only use your powers for the purposes they were given to you for.

Amendment 3 - Harassing the staff about punishments is not allowed. If you believe your punishment was unnecessary or unjust, please message one of the Head Staff - don't cause a flamewar about it.

Amendment 4 - If you break more than one rule, the punishments will stack up into a maximum temp. ban of 30 days. If you keep breaking the rules after your 30 day ban is over, you will be permanently banned from the forums.
